"Top Ten Animals" 9/12/2022  
  • The first assignment we did in class, first involving headers, paragraphs, links and images, then expanded to include bold, italics and highlighting.

  • Although the instructions did not include any styling, I decided to add a background color, borders around the images, a <div> box around the header, and different highlight color that did not clash with the background.

  • Since .css files had not been taught in class, these changes were made with an internal style sheet
"My Favorite Game" 9/30/2022  
  • First assignment to use an external .css stylesheet, and the first webpage where I truly stretched my creative muscles, although the styling is relatively tame compared to later pages

  • Font, font color, and background color styling were assigned, although I used a background image instead and included text-align plus several <div> boxes as well
"4 Underrated Musicians" 10/5/2022  
  • Further development of my .css styling, mostly centered around fonts and text-shadow

  • The background uses a repeating-linear-gradient, although I had to jankily use a div to try to hide an issue with the lines being cut off due to the browser’s hight, this can still be seen around the edges of the page
"Internal Links & Specific Colors" 10/7/2022  
  • Primarily a CSS assignment, the text, images, and most of the HTML was written by the teacher

  • Font color, family, and a background image, were added with CSS, and internal links were added between the top of the page and each animal

  • I had already used all of the assigned items, so I used the page as practice for general styling, including a seamlessly looping background image and text shadow/size to improve readability

  • Increasing use of fonts and text styling, in my opinion the best of the pages I made for class

  • First use of tables for formatting, although this was fairly minimal and not part of the assignment

  • I had been increasingly interested in the Avali for a few months before the assignment, and I kept meaning to research the lore of the birbs on my own, this assignment was the perfect opportunity to do this

  • Current plan is to give this page a fresh look over and use it in main portion of my website
